josh writes a blog presents: link love!

link love

I thought I’d give some love to friends of mine who have been doing awesome things and putting awesome stuff out for the world to see/hear/read, etc.  I’m constantly surprised at the amount of sheer brilliance my friends, both in real life, and on the interwebs, possess.  I think I should cut their heads off, a la the Highlander, and steal their creativity until there is only one, i.e., me.

My buddy Adam gets first dibs cause he joined the fray of fellow Boise friends who write blogs.  His blog is called Hooray for Things!, a title I couldn’t agree with more.  He’s only three posts in and it’s already hilarious.  It’s like reading Best Week Ever, except it’s more obtusely profane.  I love it.

(Thing that is Ironic, Sorta: right as I wrote the above paragraph, Adam called me.  Whhooooa creepy!)

Next: The results are in!  February Album Writing Month 2008 is long behind us, and the tracklist for the FAWMpilation 08 are in, and once again at the forefront is a genius of a musician, Isaac Quatorze.  Isaac’s track “Showered in Nisku” was one of the most amazing songs I heard during the entire FAWM experience, and I’m so glad that he got to work on it further and submit it to the FAWMpilation.  So to better showcase Mr. Quatorze, I’m linking to his wonderful, wonderful, wonderful AND FREE album, sin of the summer.  I’m listening to it as I write this post, as a matter of fact.  I can’t even begin to explain Isaac’s genre … it’s just great and catchy pop, really.  (Super) Super Horrocious is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard, and when I first heard it on the FAWM 07 compilation, I put it on repeat for maybe a week.  It’s brilliant.  So, without further ado:

Download it, love it.

That’s all for now, but I’ll link some more stuff later, I’m certain.
