(By “popular demand” I mean one guy.)
I put a lot of stickers on my guitar because it’s a cheap Yamaha that I bought at a pawn shop, and I wanted to decorate it, in much the same way a five-year-old child might decorate a white wall with a series of Crayons. My father does not like this, as he says that each sticker makes the tone of my guitar worse and worse. But it was cheap, and I don’t care. Some guitars gotta stay clean because you put money into them and you need them for gigs and such, and some guitars you just gotta put stickers on.
So, here we go:
Obviously the front of the guitar has the most stickers. I’ll start left to right, from the top to the bottom.
Top Row:
1. Autobots! Maximize!: These and the Decepticon stickers are from a bunch of Transformer stickers I bought because they were Transformer stickers, man! I don’t know what happened to the rest of them. Also the Autobot symbol is wearing out because my sweaty arm rests there. Ewww.
2. Ice Cream Man: At Music Fest Northwest, specifically at the Wonder Ballroom, some people were handing out free ice cream, as well as these stickers. Needless to say, this free ice cream was the beginning of my fatitude1.
3. Rocket Ship: On one of my earlier jaunts to Portland, before I moved here, I purchased some rocket ship stickers at a weird store on Hawthorne. These stickers have subsequently been put on everything.
4. Get Green!: The shiny green sticker is from Buffalo Exchange, a cool hipster used clothing store across the street from Powell’s. I have a couple of their stickers, as well as some of their clothes, which I, of course, bought.
5. Decemberists Sticker #1: Self-explanatory.
In the Middle:
1. FAWM.ORG: February Album Writing Month, one of the best communities of songwriters of which I’ve been a part. Great folks, and a lot of my more popular songs have come from their February challenge.
2. Remix Government: I think this was free at some show, and I needed stickers for my guitar, so I got it. Other than that, I have no idea what it’s for.
3. Castor & Pollux: My good friend Chris made these stickers, along with CDs that he has recorded. He is a cool guy, and his sticker rocks, as do his albums.
On the Bottom:
1. Decepticons! Terrorize!: I’ve already explained this one!
2. musicforamerica.org: Again, I got it for free somewhere2.
3. Vote Yes on JJ: Some medical marijuana legislature.
4. Batman!: A sticker I volunarily got at the dentist. I’m sure they were for children. So what.
1. NORML: The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. My brother is the Outreach Coordinator, and he had stickers. While I am in favor of marijuana being legalized, I don’t smoke pot (sorry, herb) and won’t even if it becomes legal. I just like to show my support!
2. Idaho Dance Theatre: Self-explanatory.

1. Decemberists Sticker #2.
2. Another rocket ship.
3. ASA: Americans for Safe Access. Another pro-marijuana sticker (there were a lot of them when I was in Berkeley).
4. Decemberists Sticker #3.
and the greatest sticker of them all…
Found in the free baskets at Reading Frenzy.
And those are the stickers on my guitar! If you would like more stickers to be on my guitar, please send them to me. I love stickers!

I love stickers, I just think they should be on your hard-shell case, not on your guitar.

you should be proud of your guitar it’s way cool and totally unique!
